What is ASC Specification?

ASC Specification offers two solutions: MEP Spec Creator (software platform for creating your own specs) and MEP Spec Writing (professional service where we write specs for you). Both focus on Division 22, 23, and 26 specifications.

What divisions does ASC cover?

We cover Division 22 (Plumbing), Division 23 (HVAC), and Division 26 (Electrical) — the core of MEP specifications.

Do you ONLY do MEP Divisions (22, 23, and 26)?

No. While we focus on MEP Divisions where our expertise is strongest, we can handle any division needed for your project. Our deep knowledge is in MEP systems, but we're equipped to write specifications across all construction divisions.

How do I know the specs are always up to date?

Every spec in our library is reviewed against the latest ASHRAE, NEC, ASPE and local building codes. You'll never be working from outdated standards.

What happens when codes or standards change?

We monitor industry updates in real-time. When codes shift, your baseline specifications update automatically — no need to upload new specifications.

Can I import my firm's existing specifications into the software?

Yes. You can bring in your current specs in minutes. Our team will manually help import and format them so you're ready to hit the ground running.

Do I pay per user, or is it a single monthly subscription?

You pay a single monthly subscription fee. User limits depend on your plan (2, 10, or unlimited users), but you'll never be charged separately for each added user.

What does the integration fee cover?

Depending on the plan you select, the integration fee includes hands-on support from a team member to import your specifications and create custom templates tailored to your firm.

Do you offer onboarding or setup support for the software?

Yes. For your first 45 days, we'll import your specs, customize templates to fit your projects, and meet with you to ensure everything integrates smoothly.

Will I have to spend time formatting my specs?

Not at all. ASC takes care of all formatting so every PDF comes out clean, consistent, and professional — without you lifting a finger.

How do templates/options work in the software?

ASC allows you to create and manage reusable specification templates/options for consistent project delivery. They are dynamic content that adapts based on project requirements using our smart rules engine.

Can I try the software before committing?

Yes! We offer a free trial on any plan. No credit card required. This lets you test the platform with your team before making a decision.
